Purpose of this blog

What could compare to entertaining a group of folks around a night time campfire telling stories about the old west? My writings try to capture just that. My characters are for the most part made up but I do throw in some real ones now and then. Every story on this blog are of my own invention, no other authors have I taken stories from.

Most every town, trail, mountain or desert is also real and many of my stories can be followed on a map.

I suppose if truth be told, I’m like every other dreamer and writer, I hope someday to be ‘discovered’, make million dollars and retire in a forest cabin along with my horse and some good company. Give me the benefit of the doubt and let me dream a while longer before ya’ pull the rug out from me and tell me I’m late for work!

By the way, I’ve turned four of my short stories into an MP3 format and put them up on the Soundcloud site for downloading. A compilation book of my short stories is also being considered. you can listen to them for free at; https://soundcloud.com/campfireshadows .

Enjoy the tales and as Roy Rogers would say, “Happy trails to you, until we meet again.”

Your pard, Campfire

    • Thanks! I’m trying to figure out how to use my mini recording studio, a h2n zoom unit. Awesome but I’m old school so I’m dumbfounded on the terminology… which means I can’t figure beans out about it. Trial and error time šŸ™‚

    • If you wish (and can stand the sound of my voice) I have 4 stories I put on the soundcloud web site to get opinions on. Now I’m far from a professional so don’t expect movie theater quality sound. I did everything myself including dubbing in the campfire sounds and editing so there’s nobody but me to blame šŸ™‚ Take care my dear and I hope you visit my soundcloud audio stories at;

      PS, now where about are you on this planet? I could not even guess judging by your name…which by the way, sounds most wonderful šŸ™‚ Campfire
